After ordering Klassen Big Bags of compost this year (2026), we were satisfied with the quality and plan to continue ordering from them, provided the quality remains consistent.
For 2027, we will not be coordinating piecemeal or multiple orders, as this has proven too difficult to manage. A single request for compost orders will be sent out in the first week of March for delivery 1st or 2nd week of April, weather permitting. If you do not add your name to the list and specify the quantity you require at that time, no additional orders will be placed on your behalf. Any additional compost will need to be ordered directly by you.
Once the communal order has been placed, you are fully committed to purchasing and taking the quantity of compost you requested. No cancellations, reductions, or changes will be accepted after the order is submitted.
We will advise you of the amount due for your order, and payment can be made via e-transfer to the email address that will be provided.
Here are two handy product calculators for determining how many cubic yards of product are needed for any size space. Be aware that the quantity of compost you request should be reasonable. 2 x cubic yard bags of compost are more than adequate for a 600sqft plot. Klassen Landscape Supplies - OMRI-listed composts, single-source and blended sawdusts for mulching. Be sure that if you order sawdust that it does NOT contain cedar. Certain Cedar varieties can inhibit seed germination.
Ridge Valley Farms - OMRI-listed chicken, steer, mushroom, and blended manures.
For any other supplier, ensure that the material is OMRI listed. You should look for this symbol on the product or on the website's product description.
